By taking part, the following conditions are deemed to have been accepted. The organiser of the competition is SBB AG, Hilfikerstrasse 1, 3000 Berne. Each person may enter only once. The closing date for entries is 4 October 2015. To take part, you must provide your first and last name and e-mail address, upload a photo and register with the SBB Ticket Shop. It's free to register with the SBB Ticket Shop and enter the competition. It is not necessary to purchase a MobileTicket in order to enter the competition.
Photos must be taken digitally in .jpg or .png format and have a file size of up to 3 MB. A photo can only be published if the participant has entered the required details.
Participants must only submit pictures to which they own all rights. Participants are not permitted to use pictures downloaded from the Internet, for example, or those that feature works protected by copyright (such as buildings or works of art). In particular, pictures featuring violent, pornographic or offensive content are not permitted. The same applies, by analogy, to texts.
Entries will be monitored by the SBB online team. Pictures and texts that do not meet the requirements of these Conditions of Entry may be removed at the discretion of the SBB online team at any time without explanation.
2. Transfer of image rights.
SBB owns all proprietary rights (intellectual property and ancillary copyrights as well as prospective entitlement to such rights) to all work resulting from the campaign. In particular, the participant also transfers all moral rights to SBB. If there are legal barriers preventing such a transfer, the participant waives the right to assert his or her personal rights and guarantees that all persons involved in the work also waive their right of assertion.
Any participant wishing to remove their photo from the public picture gallery should send an e-mail to email@example.com. For identification purposes, please specify your first name and last name together with your full address.
The participant guarantees that he/she and other third parties involved in the entry and the resulting work have not violated any proprietary rights. He/she guarantees the legality and authenticity of the transfer of proprietary rights and the granting of usage rights to SBB in accordance with these Conditions of Entry. If SBB itself is entirely responsible for an infringement of proprietary rights, claims against the participants are excluded.
The participant shall defend any claims by third parties relating to infringement of proprietary rights immediately at his/her own expense and risk. He/she must inform SBB of any such claims immediately in writing and shall not oppose any intervention by SBB in legal proceedings. If the third party asserts a claim directly against SBB, the participant will assist in the dispute in line with the terms of the applicable code of procedure when first requested to by SBB. The participant undertakes to pay all costs (including compensation payments) incurred by SBB as a result of the case and/or any out-of-court settlement of the legal dispute.
If it should become apparent during or after participation that the rights of a third party have been infringed, the participant shall fully indemnify SBB in all cases.
3. Minimum age.
Minors may participate with the permission of their legal guardian. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the competition and the prize draw. It is not necessary to purchase a MobileTicket in order to enter the competition. The judges' decision is final, and prizes cannot be exchanged for cash. This competition is governed exclusively by Swiss law and the sole court of jurisdiction shall be Berne. SBB reserves the right to change these conditions of entry at any time. The new provisions shall be submitted for approval stating the consequences of termination.

The SBB Ticket Shop is the "ticket machine" for MobileTickets and OnlineTickets. Ticket Shop allows you to buy your tickets conveniently and easily at home using your computer, or while on the move using your smartphone. Mobile or online, buying tickets has never been easier.
You buy your ticket via the "SBB Mobile" app and show it displayed on your smartphone screen when requested.
You buy your ticket on your computer and print it out at home. You show the printed ticket when requested.

By completing the simple, one-off registration process for the SBB Ticket Shop, you can use MobileTickets and OnlineTickets wherever you are, whenever you want. Your personal access data allows you to buy tickets securely with just a few clicks, whether online or by mobile phone.
1. Click on the red "Register now" button on the right-hand side. This takes you to the SBB's registration page.
2. Enter your details and choose a user name and password.
3. Register your preferred payment method (optional at the SBB Ticket Shop). Your method of payment can be registered as standard and will not need to be entered again later.
If you cannot present a valid MobileTicket for inspection, you will have to buy a ticket on the spot. In these cases, a supplement is usually charged. As a rule, we recommend that you check the battery life before departure and take a charger with you.
You can have unused MobileTickets refunded. To claim a refund, complete the online application form. A handling fee is charged for refunds.
If you have registered at the SBB Ticket Shop, the data you submitted will be used automatically in the future. Your data is transmitted in encrypted form, so you needn't have any worries concerning security.

MobileTickets are always only valid on the specified date. This applies to single and return trips. If you do not intend to make the return journey on the same day, please purchase a single ticket for each leg of the journey.

You can check whether the transaction was successful by tapping on "Tickets" in the SBB Mobile app. If your ticket is listed there, the purchase has been successfully completed. If the ticket you have just purchased does not appear, tap "Please update". If the ticket is still not displayed, the transaction could not be processed and your credit card or PostFinance Card has not been debited.

Are you travelling as a group with 10 or more people? Then it is simplest to book your journey using the group travel tool. In the group travel tool, only connections within Switzerland apply. You may only make bookings for international group travel at the ticket counter or via Rail Service on 0900 300 300 (CHF 1.19/min. on the Swiss fixed-line network).

If you only shop occasionally in the SBB Ticket Shop, you can also select the option "Purchase without login" after making a selection. However, with this option you have to re-enter your address each time you make a purchase.

You can purchase and print out your OnlineTicket until just a few minutes before your train departs. Please note that only some international tickets are available as OnlineTickets. We recommend that you book international tickets no later than three working days before your departure in the SBB Ticket Shop.
Once you have purchased your OnlineTicket, simply follow the link provided to download it. You can then print it out using the print function in your PDF reader. (Please do not use the print function in your browser.)
In order to view and print your OnlineTicket, you must have a PDF reader installed on your computer. You can download Adobe Reader free of charge here.
If you are logged into the SBB Ticket Shop, you will find «My orders» under «My account». Select the desired OnlineTicket. You can open it at any time and reprint it.
If you have purchased your OnlineTicket without logging into the SBB Ticket Shop, please follow the link in your confirmation e-mail to download the ticket.
For a fee of CHF 5 the OnlineTicket can also be printed out by SBB staff at the counter.
You can also have your OnlineTicket sent to you via MMS on your mobile phone. You can only receive the MMS ticket for selected routes.

For OnlineTickets the ticket counts as the receipt. No separate document is available. You have the following two options to call up OnlineTickets again that have already been purchased:

To receive a quarterly VAT receipt for the OnlineTickets you have purchased, please proceed as follows:

The OnlineTicket is only valid in conjunction with an official ID in the name of the passenger (passport or identity card). For holders of the Half-Fare travelcard or GA travelcard it is sufficient to show the travelcard.
The OnlineTicket is valid per journey for that calendar day specified at the time of purchase. Subsequent changes or exchanges are usually not possible. A return journey within 10 days may only be selected for tickets with a distance of more than 116 km. For shorter routes, the outward and return journeys must be booked separately if these are not made on the same day.
No. OnlineTickets are personal and non-transferable. When tickets are checked you must therefore show a personal identity document (passport or ID card). For holders of the Half-Fare travelcard or GA travelcard, it is sufficient to show the travelcard.
Refunds for OnlineTickets are permitted in the following cases:
If you have purchased an OnlineTicket and not used it because of one of the conditions above, please complete the application for a refund online. An administration fee is charged for refunds.
If you are unable to show the OnlineTicket to the checking staff, e.g. because you have left it at home, we recommend that you purchase a ticket at the ticket machines or at the counter before the train departs. The unused OnlineTicket can then be refunded. In such cases, complete the application for a refund online. A processing fee is charged for refunds.
You may also print out your OnlineTicket at the station for a fee of CHF 5.
If you are unable to show the checking staff a valid OnlineTicket, you must purchase another ticket. In such cases, a supplement for passengers travelling without a valid ticket is normally charged.
The transport companies cannot guarantee that OnlineTickets can be checked effectively on every electronic device (e.g. laptop). For this reason it is compulsory to show OnlineTickets as an A4 print-out.
